Between-Lines
a collaborative board game, made in Germany in 2019, is inspired by the Indian and Arabic ornaments. It is about forms, geometry and repetition. I think of Gego, the German-Venezuelan artist, who said:
repetition activates emptiness in-between-the-lines
repetition activates emptiness in-between-the-lines
In this game you play alone, with 2 or 4 people. You watch yourself and the playing partners in order to create mirrored forms in each of the wooden plates. Imagine you are drawing or designing the space but at the same time you also exist in the empty space. The complexity of forms may vary in unpredictable ways. Pay attention to people who are around you. Pay attention to your actions too. Create Beauty.
