Antennas could serve as urban totems, sending out massive amounts of information, ejecting to the sky expectations, temporary instant portraits of human beings as a collective.
Yet these messages are coded and invisible.
These urban totems are so ephemeral as the messages they manage, they come and go ‘according to the money that builds and destroys pretty things’ (Veloso).
These objects are so temporary as water bubbles that become planets.
These objects are so ephemeral as the fly patterns of fireflies.
